A little about me. Twelve years ago, I weighed 328# and wore a women’s size 24. Today at 53 years old I’m in a size 8-10 and weigh 164 pounds. No gastric bypass (no offense to those who have because I get that and thought about it myself). I’m on a mission to show by way of example how fit a person can be when they stop making excuses and start setting goals.
This blog isn’t about what I do for a living. It’s about what I’m doing to live!
I have a full-time corporate job (this I celebrate since it allows for certifications and gym toys). But the true joy in my life comes from helping others achieve their fitness goals.
I am a Precision Nutrition Pn2 Coach, Certified Personal Trainer. A CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. A Body-for-Life Champion (46+ 2009). All of that aside I am “Committed” to my personal health and well-being.

Hi Traci If you truly want to start CF I would search your area for a local CF box and get in for a fundamentals course. At your current weight it will be a struggle in the beginning but with focused intent and enough REST BETWEEN WORKOUTS you should be just fine. The biggest obstacle is going to be your own mindset. You must believe in yourself and stick to whatever exercise program you start. Be consistent and commit to doing whatever it takes to get the workouts in. And remember, you can’t out train a poor diet. Processed foods are not quality foods. Lean meats, eggs, veggies, fruits, sweet potatoes are a great place to start.

It is my time to get my life back and back in shape!!! Life has thrown me several curve balls over the past 3 yrs… I USE to be a cute size 6, avid gym member and all things healthy. Until I got pregnant 3 yrs ago and put on bed rest, which resulted in 50+ lb weight gain. Then horrible baby blues, followed by diagnosed with breast cancer when my daughter was 5 months, then double mastectomy, 16 chemo treatments and reconstruction (and of course more weight gain). Then my father-in-law committed suicide… That put a huge strain on my marriage. Then my husband was transfered and has been working out of town weekly for the past 8 months. The last kicker was more medical problems for me and tomorrow I will be 6 weeks post complete hysterectomy. I’m only 36, have a full time accounting job and an active 2 1/2 yr old. I’m now 182 lbs and my goal is 140!! Friday I am joining back at the gym for zumba and kick-boxing classes. I’m so sorry for my rant but couldn’t find a private way to contact you. I would love any input and recomendations! I look forward to being more inspiration on your blog!!
