A New Adventure

My journey gets more fun by the day.  A new adventure is just what the MOJO doctor ordered.  Rewind to three weeks ago.  I went on a week-long vacation with two of my best friends.  We did exactly what we thought vacation should be for us.  We did the best we could do to disconnect from our normal lives.  As much as I’d like to say we were successful, I’ll give it a 50/50 success rating.  Why?  Because we all love being social!

We are all clean eaters in some form or fashion and we pretty much stuck to our normal foods.  However, on day two I began to break out in hives.  I narrowed it down to the two foods I thought were the culprits.  I left in Greek yogurt because secretly I adore it and refuse to admit I could have any type of food sensitivity.  Well lets just say by Wednesday of the glorious vacation I was wrecked with hives.  I ended up at a Minute Clinic and with a prescription for prednisone.

All that being said, my system has been completely out of whack for what is now my second week after returning from vacation.  What to do, what to do?

After consulting a friend who is very well versed in the art of nutritional cleansing, I’ve taken the leap and decided to do a full nine-day cleanse.   A cleanse you say?  Yes indeed.  At this point a cleanse simply cannot hurt me any further that what I’m going through already.

Before I lose you to disinterest, I am not a gimmicky person.  I believe in doing everything the hard way.  In fact my best lessons have been provided solely by the school of hard-knocks, your’s truly now being the head professor.  I don’t believe in taking the easy way out of anything but maybe an argument.

This will not be easy for me unless I make it so.  I lift heavy things on a daily basis.  I eat clean foods 5-6 times daily.  I drink a ton of water daily.  And for the next 9 days I will do everything I normally do differently daily.  Ha!!  That’s crazy talk.

The cleanse is from a company called IsAgenix and my package is supposed to arrive today.  Over the next 11 days or so I will be documenting my experience and my results.  Gather round because if nothing more this will be the funniest thing ever.

Cheers and hang on for the ride!!
